Ingredient Highlights
• Biotin – Also known as vitamin H or coenzyme R, a water-soluble vitamin B7 (Vitamin H). It is essential for the health of hair, skin and nails. In additional to its ability in strengthening the nails, it promotes hair growth and prevent early hair loss.
• Caffeine – Caffeine is an alkaloid methylxanthine and functions as a phosphodiesterase inhibitor, promoting cellular proliferation. In vitro studies report that caffeine counteracts the inhibitory effects of testosterone on hair growth, promotes hair shaft elongation, prolongs anagen duration, and stimulates hair matrix keratinocyte proliferation. Caffeine also downregulates testosterone-induced transforming growth factor (TGF)-β1 expression, a hair growth inhibitor, and increases expression of insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-1, a hair growth promoter.
•Rosemary Oil – The essential oil has anti-inflammatory properties, promotes nerve growth and improves circulation. As a result, it prevents hair follicles from being starved of blood supply, dying off, and leading to hair loss. Beyond that, rosemary oil prevents premature graying, dandruff, dry and itch.
• Panthenol – A plant-derived provitamin of B5. It can improve damaged hair by improving effects of hair elasticity, moisture retention and flexibility. It also penetrates the hair shaft as well as the root of hair; thus giving hair an extra boost of Vitamin B which helps thicken hair as well as promote hair growth.
• Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil – Sourced from the castor bean (Ricinus communis), castor oil is rich in ricinoleic acid – a type of fatty acid found to fight inflammation. When applied to the scalp, it’s purported to enhance the health of the hair follicles and, in turn, promote hair growth (as well as protect against hair loss).
• Hydrolyzed Keratin – Hydrolyzed Keratin protein helps fortify the hair shaft, replacing hair’s natural protein to enhance strength and elasticity. It revitalizes the hair’s natural protective layer by providing support where needed. Keratin protein is known to rebuild tensile strength, return elasticity, and reduce breakage.
